Thanks for the help. Was just worried I was being stupid since I see a lot of people at the gym squatting really well in oly shoes and doing it high bar. but I guess it all down to individual proportions and stuff. It just doesn work for me. I had a lot of back pain recently (slight car accident) and back squats just seem to aggravate that at the moment (even 1 plate.), so I taking a month to do front squats only which are feeling fine.
Give it more time and lower the weight if you have to. You definitely have to be more conscious about staying on your heels/midfoot.
Also, I 6 with long femurs/short torso (saw in another comment.) When I first started high bar with the Oly shoes, I had a lot of knee pain. Reduced weight and even did high rep squats for awhile to cement form.
