Shoes play an important role in broader solutions to help keep children healthy, educated and moving forward. Here are the top three ways that shoes can make a difference:
1. Health: Shoes help protect from cuts, diseases and soil based infections like hookworm, which affects 740 million people worldwide.
2. Education: Providing school uniforms with shoes to children can increase attendance up to 62%.
3. Self esteem: Meeting the basic needs of children can increase confidence and self esteem, leading to better opportunities.
