My two cents on the the previous blog by Hec (prior to this one) is that as soon as officials start giving out T to the MVC Boys coaches, there will be a new rant on officials by the blog community. It will be leave them alone, they are the greatest coaches around and are just passionate and fighting for their kids. As far as Hec quiet time over the last week everyone deserves a vacation and I am sure it has nothing to do with the prior week hubub relative to the Andover/Haverhill game should it at all. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but it doesn make them right nor does it canonize them as an expert.
And about putting the ball down would usually say no way unless it is an absolute last resort and causing a disadvantage need to get right in there on the first horn and stay there until they get out. Too bad if the coaches don like it what is supposed to be done but they don all do it. There is some merit to what Hec is suggesting, because in the college game it is more easily handled with three officials so it is less of a problem because two officials are during the timeout to get the teams out. In the high school game there is usually only two and one official needs to stay with the ball where it will be put in play after the timeout. This leaves one official to get both teams out and makes it hard to get out before the final horn.

Why are these tournament committee members being so lazy about this tournament. They have taken everything away from the kids, everything. This tournament pays for it self. The things that they are doing makes no sense. This is about the kids and should not be about the money. It shows that the people that are on the committee don care and should step down. Lets give people who care about this tournament a chance to make it all about the kids and have it be a proud tournament once again.
