Hi, I’m Rosalyn Jones. I’m the Founder and CEO of ProDance and the Owner and Director of Cheers Cheerleading School in San Antonio, Texas. We’re here at Aerial Gymnastics and we’re going to show you how to do a GO cheer or chant. The materials that you’ll need are a really great supportive pair of cheerleading tennis shoes; a nice loose fitting pair of shorts and any type of a T shirt that’s long that it’ll cover your torso. You should always try to wear your hair up and off of your face and try to get into a gym where they have a spring floor or a tumbling mat. When you’re doing cheers, a set of poms would be very helpful. Two small show poms; any color that you wish. This is something that’s repetitive. You repeat it a couple of times; the words go like this; L E T S G O; let’s go Bears. In any type of cheerleading cheer or chant, you’ve got basic fundamental motion technique. So I’m going to have Lexie and Sarah hit their clasp with their arms. On the L, they’re going to go out to a right L. On E we’re switching to a left L; T S; G O, two clasps; on GO, you’re going to punch that right arm straight up; on Bears you take your elbows straight back; your palm goes back behind your head and then you’re going to punch it back up on GO. "Let’s go Bears." "L E T S G O; let’s go Bears." "L E T S G O; let’s go Bears." "Last time. L E T S G O; let’s go Bears." "Clean; one, two; down, up." I’m Rosalyn Jones and that’s how you do a GO chant.
