?Today we went to the fair to see if the kids had won any ribbons on their entries and to look at the projects that other kids had entered. This was the first year that we had participated.
We wandered the exhibit halls looking for the things the kids had entered. The first one we located was Eric castle built with K blocks.
Wow, he won a blue ribbon. That amazing considering I only purchased his blocks four days before the project was due. Good thing he can look at a step by step diagram and build it.
No, it not a winner either. This one can be blamed on Slacker Mom. The canvas and acrylic paints in tubes were purchased at least two weeks before the projects were due. Do you think it might have anything to do with the fact that Lexie had never used this type of paint before? If so, then maybe it is Mom fault for insisting she use grown up paint.
We move on to the photography. The first one we find is Lexie entry in the pets category. No, it not a winner. Lexie was excited about her first red, white, and blue "Participant" ribbon. This one does not seem to be as satisfying.
