?Last week, when i was getting DS ready for a bath, i noticed that his big toenail looked like it got pulled up a little by the sock. So after the bath, I cut his toenail to keep it from getting caught on the sock again. next day, it looked like it got pulled off on the side and by the NEXT day, it looked like it was completely separated from the nail bed. When I tapped it, it sounded "hollow".
My mom nor the daycare had said anything about him stubbing his toe or limping/walking funny. I don’t see it happening at daycare as he has to wear shoes all day. And my Mom would have remembered him screaming if he hit his toe.
Out of my paranoia of it being infected, I brought him the the Dr and she said, the only way to know if the nail bed was damaged, is to wait for the toenail to grow back in about two months (???)
