They forced their neighbors into 19 turnovers Air Jordan 5s 12 in the first half en route to the 75 56 victory over Murray on Monday. With the win, Taylorsville improved to 3 5; Murray fell to 2 4.
“We’ve been playing good defense lately,” Warrior coach John Bowman said. “For the most part our defensive effort has been good.”
The Warriors’ defensive resurgence began on Dec. 10. They rallied from a 23 6 first quarter deficit Air Jordan 2011 against Riverton to prevail 55 45. Ever since, even in losses, Taylorsville’s defense has been good.
Taylorsville leading scorer Colby Vranes was held to just two points in the first half on 1 Air Jordan 2 Retro of 10 shooting. Thanks to Pratt’s production, though, the Warriors built a 10 point halftime lead.
In the second half, Pratt continued to play well and Air Jordan CDP Vranes figured out another way to score. Pratt scored eight points in the first three minutes, and Vranes made 7 of 7 free throws in the quarter as Taylorsville built a 20 point lead by the end of the third.
“When (Vranes) struggles it effects our team,” Bowman said. “He was a little too impatient in the first half.”
Vranes finished with 15 points, well below his 21 point average. In Bowman’s mind, though, his shooting woes may have been just what he needed.
“Colby’s a good player, but what he has to realize is he shouldn’t Air Jordan 11s have to carry the team,” Bowman said. “We are very inexperienced, but we are just starting to find ourselves.”
