My daughter did the same thing. I purchased shoes for her when she began to walk and Air Jordan 15s she Air Jordan 1s would scream anytime she could see the shoes. I decided to return the shoes and wait it out. Less than a month later I gave it another shot. She loves her new shoes! Who knows, maybe these shoes feel different, or maybe she likes the way they look better, or maybe she knew her body better than I did and was aware that she simply wasn’t ready for shoes yet. As frustrating as phases can be, they are usually just that phases, that your chold will grow out of Air Jordan 10s in his/her own time. I tried to explain to my 1 year old that if she wants to walk outside then she must wear the shoes. I discovered that the shoes may be pinching her feet or toes so I switced to a different pair. It has taken quiet a few tears and protests but she is starting to accept the fact she must wear shoes outside inside I don’t mind that she doesn’t wear shoes. She still kicks them off, but I just put them right back on. now if only I could get her to keep socks on!My 17 month old daughter hated wearing shoes until about 2 months ago. We live where it is very cold so going out without shoes was not an option. She wears Robeez as well without a fight but she will now wear shoes too.
I took her shopping and bought shoes for me, I tried on a bunch of different shoes as she tried to grab everything on the shelves. We then went to the kids section and she kept grabbing the sparkley Barbie shoes. After letting her play with them I tried them on her and she loves them! Now every time we go anywhere (malls or grocery stores) she says “shoes” and has to point to all of them. (She is a real “girl” now when it comes to shoes and loves all of them!)
I suggest that you get her a slipper that encloses her foot so that she gets used to having something like a shoe on her feet at all times and then if you want to start her with shoes do it but be consistent, always having them on her feet except when she sleeps. And when she cries make it a game like when you are putting them on her feet make her think she is helping you by telling her to push or whatever you think will be fun for her. We did and do all these things with my son who hated shoes BIG time and now he loves them. We live in Texas, so it wasn’t a problem to let her go barefoot or in socks for most of the year, but once she was walking well, I felt she needed to have shoes for protection. I have to give her a choice of styles, but I pick a few with very pliable soles for her to choose from. I also had her fitted by someone who was specially trained in fitting toddlers. As it turned out, she needed a wide width. She has thin feet so I never thought about needing wides, but she has a high instep. As soon as I actually started putting her in the right sized shoes, she started wearing them with no problems. She now loves her shoes and Air Jordan Future loves to shoe shop. Good luck!I agree about the Robeez. They are truly fabulous. They are soft and cool looking, easy to get on, but virtually impossible to get off and have suede bottoms that give good grip. DS received a pair when he was 6 months old in the 12 18 month size and even though they were big they stayed on. Now, at 17 months he has nearly worn them out.
