The guides I’ve read have said 350 500 miles. With that said, I think it also depends on your body mechanics, how hard you are on shoes, and how well your shoes handle the wear you put on them. Just because I hate shelling out $100 for new shoes, I tend to wear mine much, much longer than is recommended (as in, I put over 1,000 miles on my last pair). I am NOT saying that that is a good idea, but just demonstrating how what “they” say may not always be true for you. I have a neutral stride, I’m not a very big person, and I run on a variety of surfaces, all of air jordan 11 which may have helped my shoes last as long as they did.
Like emsmom, I know it’s time for new shoes when something starts hurting. It’s usually my hips, or I’ll start developing a chronic “hot spot” somewhere on one of my feet.
I have always heard 300 500 miles. I can easily get 300 miles out of pair of shoes, although in running while pregnant I found I needed new shoes much sooner (I think it is the extra weight + dragging my feet more at a slower pace). My husband can’t seem to get a pair of shoes to last longer than about 200 miles, though but he’s a big guy so I guess he wears them out faster.
Edited to add that I usually keep at least two pairs and rotate them. Also, I shop sales online and try to buy older models of a shoe I like to get a better price!
I think it depends on the shoe too. I’ve had friends that say certain brands air jordan 5 wear quickier than others.
I wear Asics and I can get 400 to 425 miles out of a pair of Gel Nimbus. I’m only on 275ish miles on my Saucony and they are wearing down faster.
I start to rotate a new pair in every 250 miles and replace somewhere between 250 and 300. It also depends on volume though. If I am running high volume (45+ miles/wk with a 18 20 long run) then I replace them around 200 miles.
It really air jordan 10 depends on what you “feel” out of the shoe. You’ll notice when a shoe needs some help or isn’t providing the support you need anymore.
I recycle my old pair into my “Jillian workout” pair, and for wearing out and about if I need to be in them. I try to keep my running shoes for just running.
With my favorites, I could wear them a good 600 700 miles! so About every 6 months! Then I leave a pair at my in laws vacation home so I don’t have to haul shoes! and I wear them as my shopping shoes, mowing shoes, cross training shoes, you get the picture.
