Elk Grove, CA Exercise your right to make a difference! How can a community help its neighbors receive the essential resources needed to overcome the many faces of hunger and human need? RUN/WALK at the 9th Annual Run 4 Independence held on Saturday, June 29 at Elk Grove Regional Park. with a Kids’ and mile race.
For the kids in the community, Monterey Bay Aquarium will set up an interactive, educational display about the ocean and marine wildlife. The display will be in Elk Grove Regional Park during the Run 4 Independence.
Of the 36,000 encounters each year of the Elk Grove Food Bank Services, 29% are children and 19% are seniors. Most clients are among the working poor, air jordan 10 on a fixed income or air jordan 3 unemployed.
The funds raised at this event go directly to the Food Bank and will impact seniors, men, women, children and the homeless by providing food, clothing and social services year round.
