?My 2 year old daughter started itching her heels 8 days ago. I didnt think too much of it at first but a few days went by and her heels were really red and slightly swollen. Ive been putting cortisone cream on her feet twice a day but they seem to be getting worse. She has no other symptoms. I’m going to try to get her into the dr tomorrow to find out what it could be. I havent been using any different soaps, detergent or anythign like that. Now her heels are red and blotchy looking. Any ideas??????
This happened to my DS last year, we were on the beach in early Oct (off season) he was in his socks his feet got wet, plus w/ all the sand, anyway 2 days later his heels were red, flaky itchy. Took him to the Ped cause the itching was driving him crazy otc cortisone cream wasn’t helping. Doc said it was either a bug bite (I don’t think it was) or just really irritated from the salt water sand. cleared up in about 2 wks, I just kept the cortisone lots of lotion on his feet. I would call the ped though to see, she may need an anti fungal cream. GL hope she feels better real soon.
